Welcome to Colorado 54!
Colorado 54 represents the 54 peaks over 14,000 ft that reside in Colorado. There is a lot more to it than just the name Colorado 54 however. Colorado 54 is a journey about two young guys (Josh B and Chris B) who would like to show their passions and experience to the rest of the world. In this journey there will be all kinds of obstacles to overcome. The goal of our journey is to complete the 54 peaks in a rough time line of twelve months; January of 2007 to January of 2008.
We hope to show you that you can enjoy Mother Nature’s glory with a minimal impact on nature. Along the way, every aspect of the sport will be covered from the strictest rules of safety when it comes to mountaineering, snowboarding and climbing to the excitement and pure adrenaline rush of the whole experience of it all. Another twist to Colorado 54 is that Chris Buck will attempt to snowboard down all of the 54 peaks in Colorado within 100 feet from the summit.
There will be a book with majestic photos of the sunrises and views during the winter/spring months on the 14ers. We will also be filming this adventure in HD. Colorado 54 will not be about one mans glory; it’s about a journey of two people who share the same passions but tell a different story. We want to help teach and to provide different kinds of information for others to use as they begin their own quest to hike all of the Colorado 54. Life is short! Don’t regret! Get out and play!
